Biography

Instrumental ensemble «COMPROMISE-DUO» was founded in 2010. The ensemble consists of two young performers who play the academic accordion (Grigory SEREDIN) and classical guitar (Dmitry PRYTULA). 

Artistic Director of the ensemble is a famous russian guitarist, Professor Evgeny FINKELSTEIN.

               This duo is considered to be a brilliant representative and propagandist of academic chamber music. The ensemble is a winner of the following competitions:

·         VII International Guitar Competition named after I.Kuznetsov (2010, Magnitogorsk -              I Prize)

·         International competition «Citta di Lanciano» (2012, Italy - II Prize)

·         The laureate and the winner of the special prize "For the best performance of Astor Piazzolla's music" International competition «Citta di Castelfidardo» (2012, Italy)

·         The winner of Interational competition "The Cup CIS" (2015, Moscow)

The repertoire is rich and varied - from the masterpieces of Italian and Russian classical music composers of South America, the world of popular music hits and modern academic writings.               

In 2013, the duo presented the program "Vivaldi and Sting - compromise?" (Classical music and world hits in original arrangements for the ensemble by G. Seredin), which caused the special interest of the public.

Grigory and Dmitry perform in the concert halls of Russia and Europe, collaborating with various orchestras, conductors and singers.

Musicians - participants of various creative projects, such as International Accordion Festival «Bayan and Bayanists» (Concert Hall of the Gnesin Academy of Music),  «Opera Night» (Jazz Club by A. Kozlov), International festival "We gather friends" in the Rachmaninov hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the accordion festival in the Pushkin Museum, the project "Together with mother" (concerts for children) and various festivals fund "Bel Canto" in St. Peter and Paul Cathedral and other concert halls in Moscow.

In April 2014 Grigory Seredin and Dmitry Pritula debuted at the IV International Music Festival by Yuri Bashmet in Khabarovsk, singing along with the maestro and chamber ensemble "Soloists of Moscow" "Double Concerto" for guitar, bandoneon and orchestra by A. Piazzolla.

The musicians are in a constant creative search, expanding the repertoire borders and finding new timbre colors in cooperation of two as it may be thought incompatible instruments- guitar and accordion. But this is just the purpose and the point of the ensemble’s art, which is accurately expressed in the title of this duo.
